Welcome and thank you for visiting. I’m excited to share more about journaling ‘outside of the box’, or what some term alternative journalism.

My journal, Angle & Perspective, is a unique blend of traditional journalism and more blog-style stories from a holistic approach -where articles are not just news blasts with facts, data and numbers, but accounts from the point of view of a real human who thinks, feels and wants answers with solutions just like anyone else would, and who also cares about her readers well-being.

So much emotion has been removed from mainstream reporting and while sometimes this is necessary, sometimes people need a little more heart-felt response from the ‘delivery system’. This journal seeks to restore a more balanced and empathetic approach to telling stories and making connections with a real audience; not just pumping out the newest statistics for unknown masses as if speaking to data-consuming robots.

As an Independent Journalist, I am currently the sole writer of Angle & Perspective. For this reason, I have full control over the content I choose to cover without answering to any big media outlet or being persuaded by political parties.

My style may not be for everyone, but I don’t want to be so easily defined that it limits the breadth I could cover otherwise. I want to cover all of the parts of the world I see in hopes of bringing them into harmony with each other and our every day lives, with specific emphasis on building the world I’d like to see more of. I believe it’s important to share our world-views with others in a way that allows true connection and change to happen.
